Ryan Sharples

Reforestation – Crew Leader

I’m originally from Southern Manitoba. After years of doing mechanical work, studying at University of Manitoba and many other adventurous exploits I decided to switch career paths into forestry.

My first season of tree planting was awesome! I took to the job right away and never looked back. After a few heavy seasons in Northern Ontario, it was time to move westwards to the BC interior!

When I’m not on the job, you can find me traveling, riding motorcycles, and fixing whatever I can get my hands on.

What Planters Can Expect From Me

This season, I’m gearing up to run a productive and engaging 12 pack during our main season. I’m very excited to bring all my experience, work ethic and my ability to be personable into my work this spring. I’m always committed to achieving a safe, sturdy and nurturing work environment so we can all meet our goals as individuals and as a crew.

What I Expect From Planters

Tree planting can be a difficult job for all positions, both as a planter and a crew leader. It’s important that everyone is time aware and are punctual in the morning and at the end of the day. I admire planters that have a positive outlook, set goals for themselves, and respect their co-workers. That way we can all have a memorable and productive season in 2024!
