Monique Petit
Reforestation – Crew Leader
Born and raised in Quebec, I have a huge passion for music and you will often catch me listening to a wide variety of music. During winter you will find me skiing the Chic Chocs or the Kootenays backcountry and in the summer I might be up north doing a canoe expedition when I am not planting. I enjoy tree planting and teaching others to plant as well, I graduated from an outdoor leadership program which I believe will help me be effective in teaching new planters and managing the crew.
Industry Experience
This will be my third tree planting season with Spectrum Resource Group. Over the years I have shown a strong interest in helping others and being a leader within my camp. This season I will be running a crew and am excited for the opportunity to create a successful and hardworking team.
What Planters Can Expect From Me
As a crew leader, my planters and their safety are my main priority, it is important that my planters feel safe at all times, contribute to safety conversations and feel set up to succeed. As a planter I know the importance of being on time, having caches stocked, and providing a clear and concise plan.
What I Expect From Planters
Planting is one of the toughest jobs I have experienced, it’s important that planters show up every day ready to work and have a positive attitude. Respect is a huge factor for success when it comes to planting, every second counts when it comes to planting and I will do my best to respect your time and expect the same in return. Let’s work together as a team to have a successful 2024 season!
